Looking for an opportunity to become a part of the fastest growing opera community in South Texas?  Relax, you don’t have to sing to be a volunteer with the South Texas Opera. Our organization is in need of volunteers all year round as we strive to bring a new level of arts and entertainment to South Texas and Northern Mexico.  We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities on and off stage to match your skills, interests, and schedule.   Volunteers can assist with clerical activities, data entry, customer relations, marketing, creating wardrobes, hauling, hanging, and constructing sets.  Would you like an opportunity to show off your organizational skills and remain behind the scenes? Then volunteer to assembling mailings, or distributing advertising. Are people always complimenting you on your smile and your willingness to help? Then volunteer to be an ushers, greeters, or guide at performances and fundraisers.  If you are handy with a hammer and nails, or clever with a paint brush, then volunteer to help create the sets that make the opera come alive. Marketing Chair- This unique volunteer opportunity is designed for a professional looking to make a commitment to promote the arts and entertainment the South Texas Opera provides.

The marketing chair would be responsible for creating, coordinating, and promoting our concerts and events.   This is an excellent way for a novice or a veteran marketing professional to enhance their existing skills, while also developing new ones.   Possible duties include, but are not limited to: creating ticket promotions and sponsorship opportunities, securing new sponsors, establishing new media outlets, locating new concert venues, graphic design, event coordination and promotion.  If you are looking for a challenging, creative opportunity in a faced paced environment than consider volunteering as the Marketing Chair for the South Texas Opera!  For information or an application contact……
